Frustrated - Magellan Triton 400

I have a Garmin eTrex Legend. I purchased the mapping CD set and had someone else load it for me. I really think it is a great GPS for the money (152.00 Walmart). Lately though it has been blanking out while running. It is maybe 3-4 years old and I don't know how long it should last. I have taken very good care of it. Anyway I decided that since it is now hunting season in Maine that I should get a new GPS.

I got a Magellan Triton 400 with the National Geographic deluxe mapping stuff. I get lost in the set up. I really want to smash it right now. Instead I will return it and find a real expensive one that will probably just as difficult to set up but if it cost enough I PROBABLY won't smash it.

I have to wonder if I am the only person who feels this way? And is it a joke to the companies who produce these things? I do know this, whoever gets it right for someone like me will eliminate every other producer of GPS units. Why can't I simply buy an area-specific SD card or chip and plug the damned thing in and go? WOW - I feel so much better now! HELP
