Garmin c340 Inaccurate

Gave husband Garmin StreetPilot C340 for Christmas. We live in Kitty Hawk, NC (Outer Banks of NC). Find that directions for Outer Banks are not accurate. Other destinations, that I already knew how to drive to, were incorrect--not best route to take. Will use on trip to the Florida Keys next month. Hope it will do better.

I hate my Garmin C340

First of all let me say that I would never recommend this unit to anyone. The size is very large. There are smaller size units out there for the same cost. The C340 is easy to use, but I've found it to be very inaccurate way too often. I've been taken routes to my destination that made no sense at all. I would pass up the exit I was to get off then taken to the next exit, a few more roads and back to where I should have been 10 minutes before.
What a shame I can't return this. Total ripoff.
