Garmin Streetpilot c340 Navigation Problems

I am, unfortunately an owner of the Streetpilot c340. Not by choice though. It was given to me as a gift. I absolutely hate this Garmin! Sometimes it takes a long time to find the satellite as I'm driving out of my driveway. Sometimes it doesn't even find the satellite! The route choice chosen by the Garmin is not always accurate and safe.

The biggest and most annoying thing about this piece of crap unit is it doesn't recalculate to the route I want to take or is best for me. It will continue to recalculate the route it wants me to take! Which is extremely annoying, because it keeps telling me to exit off. Especially when on highways, turnpikes, or thruways.

For instance, I had to meet a friend in Upper Darby which is 15 mins. from Philly. The best, safest, and fastest time route was the turnpike. Which I had originally started going. Thinking that this unit was going to recalculate to this route. Instead the unit kept telling me to exit. Which I did because I wasn't sure of the directions. Following this unit's route choice was horrible! I went thru so many lights, and even went thru the ghetto of Philly! i would not recommend this Garmin to anyone.
