Magellan Crossover issue - no Magellan ever again

I bought the Crossover, and added extra warranty. Within a year, the LCD screen cracked like a spiderweb. I had not used the unit on a daily, or weekly basis, nor had I left it in the car in the hot sun. It just cracked.
When I called Magellan, they told me that the screen was not covered by any warranty, and that they required $90, up front, to issue a work order number so that I could send the unit in for screen replacement. At that price, if I had to replace the screen annually, I felt that Magellan was out of line.
I will never buy a Magellan product, nor would I ever suggest anyone else consider one of their products.
